12/31/19 What a difference a day makes. I had a hard time shaking the motion sickness feeling. I literally was in bed at 7:45pm and pretty much slept for 11 or so hours. Woke up feeling like a new person.  Here we go, let’s fix the solar panels frame. It took some work but thankfully Eddie is persistent and he build it so he knew how it goes back together. We got to a point where we needed help lifting the frame into its spot. Our boat neighbor had offered to help and were going to be available later on. We took that time to walk into town. We walked 1.5 miles each way to buy a Bahama SIM card for a spare phone. This will enable us to make calls in the Bahamas. Our My Island Wifi will let us wifi call to the US. Along the way we found a few worthwhile stops.  Ernest Hemingway’s house but he wasn’t home. A walk through the Big Game Club Marina to the Neil Watson Dive Center. Great Harbour Cay

Greetings from windy Great Harbour Cay where we arrived on Thursday, January 2.  We had a beautiful 11 hour crossing from Bimini.  It was breathtaking to be out in the ocean, cruising along at turtle speed with rarely another boat in site and no land to be seen.    Leaving Bimini. Arriving Bullocks Harbour. Many years ago we took a Royal Caribbean Cruise with the whole Zuskin family. One of the stops was on Coco Cay which is Little Stirrup Cay, a cay that the cruise line leases from the Bahamas. We could see the cruise ships and hear the captains on the radio. I thought it was pretty cool. I have a wonderful memory of the first cousins playing on the beach that day! We ran out of sunlight about an hour before we arrived at the anchorage.  I can now say we are no longer anchoring in the dark virgins. Days 10 & 11

October 28 - 29, 2019 Days 10 and 11 MM 135 - 182 I'll start with yesterday - we awoke to another beautiful sunrise and pulled our anchor at 7:15. The cruise was calm as could be, at least in the early part of the trip! I love the marshes.  As we crossed the Pamlico Sound to the Neuse River our trip quickly became lively. First the winds were behind us and we were hobby horsing up and down the waves. Waves were predicted to be 1'-2' but were definitely more like 3'. It wasn't for very long which is a good thing.  Our girl Seaquel cruises like a champ but her crew isn't so comfortable in those seas. Then we turned to starboard and now we had beam seas.
